However I am now starting to worry that I may have cocked things up.
Here how it went.
25 litres of water in the pot, treated with half a campden tablet. Brought to the boil and added 3kg of light spray malt, the liquor from 200g of steeped crystal malt and my copper hops (30g of fuggles).
Then added 25g of styrian goldings for 15 mins and 25g of goldings at 'flame out' (was using a propane burner).
Cooled as quickly as possible and tested gravity. (1050) added 1.5 litres of water as boil had reduced initial volume somewhat and yeast starter at just under 30c.
It's now in the garage with an aqarium heater and has a pretty attractive worm-like yeast head.
My question is this. Will my beer be horrible or have I done ok? This is my first brew of 2007
