Hello everyone,

I am planning an 'IPA' using 3kg of liquid malt extract, 1.0kg of dryed spraymalt approximately 100-120 fuggles or styrain hops and dried brewers yeast with Harris pure brew. I normally brew with 1.5kg of LME 500g demera sugar various hops and dried yeast making very drinable beers. Will my 'IPA' be to malty if so what can I do to counter it, I have read that 500g of crystal malt would help.

Happy brewing

I'd use munich instead of crystal to get malty. Or some melanoiden.
I'm just here for the beer.

I use Muntons extract with various hop combinations dried yeast and some grains usually 5 gallon batches with a good deal of success, should get my hands on a fermentation fridge tomorrow.

Hello Everyone,

Just brewed 23 litres with 3.4 kg of LME 70 grams Target 35 grams of Fuggles and 35 grams of WVG with 300 grams of sucrose, should be 5.2% abv, no chill in the fermenting fridge for the first time, I will let you know how it goes.

Happy brewing
