Started my first extract brew :)

The only thing that's been the same between the kits and extract brews is the Coopers carbonation drops; everything else has been different.

Try using ordinary sugar for priming instead and see if that makes a difference.

OK I'll give that a go on my next brew. I'll keep some as the drops then I can compare them.

Just cracked open another of these after after 3 months and wow, it's now really clear. Is this what happens over time, even if it was not cooled quickly after the boil? It has been cloudy once chilled for the first two months but the last month I've been drinking my Hob Goblin clone (which too is cloudy as I can't chill'em quick enough just yet) so hadn't touched the last few bottles; nice surprise though and as it's cleared up it's helped a lot with the colour, although I would actually call it an amber ale but hey, colour doesn't mean anything anyway, as long as it's not green :)
