Extract Brewing Volumes

I want to move on from kits to extract, but I only have a boiler of about 15 litres capacity.
Does this limit me to 15 litre brew lengths, or can I mash using sufficient malts for a 23 litre brew
and top up with cold water when transferring to the fermenter?

I'm asking the exact same question but I think my pot is only 10 litres to the brim :?

Thanks Chris,
I will give it a go and increase the hop content by 10% to compensate

ok, i'll double check the pot size and maybe even search for a second hand one that's a lot bigger.
Is it best to just boil 23 litres or can there be a smaller size that'll work, i really don't have the space for a 23l pan :(

Hmm, that's a bit of an extra expense at this point in time, that has to be something I buy a lot later in my brewing time, my girlfriend would kill me for a start :)
