extract brew?

Post by stixy » Sat Apr 25, 2009 11:41 am

Hi guys, i want to get an extract brew on the go today but im unsure of the type of beer ill be making and if i have enough ingreadents,so here is what ive got,

1kg of crystal malt
1kg of light spray malt
226g fuggles
226g goldings

ive found a recipie but it states using 2.8kg of spray malt but only 250g of crystal malt so as ive only got 1kg of spay can i make the difference up with the crystal or just use the 1kg and if so what would happen???
would these ingreadents produce a light bitter?and what is the difference between fuggle and golding hops?

all help and advise would be much appricated, thanks

so do you mean use the 1kg of spray and then divide the other ingreadents by 2??
what volume should i expect to make i.e should i divide that by 2 also?
