boil lid with funnel - less liquid lost in evaporation?

Am i right or wrong
Just getting my boiler built and was wondering....

Can someone tell me why we don't see an upside down conical funnel arragement on boilers. Would this not condense some of the evaporating liquid and it would drip down back into the boiler. Obviously the steam would exit up a chimney. Is it something to do with boil overs?

You need to boil off some undesirable aromas and such so you don't want those dropping back into your brew, better to top up with treated water afterwards.

It's the traditional German style of braukessel, or copper I think they're called in English brewing.
