1 gallon recipe

Post by Dangerlouis » Tue Mar 30, 2010 11:42 am

Hi All,

Can anybody reccommend me a good one gallon recipe for starting out in the extract world.

It will be my first extract brew so its more really to make sure I have got the process right before I step up to full size batches.

I was thinking of a simple stout with some chocolate malt but all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

I learned how to do extract brewing by following OSB's instructions in the link below although it is for a 10L batch.

I have since scaled down other 23L batches to 10L with great success so give it a go.

That looks good, I think I'll give it a go.

Thanks,

You can scale down any recipe to give whatever quantity you like. I do this regularly for full mash and extract brews. I just don't have the space for 5 gallon and wouldn't drink it all anyway!

It's a great way of getting lots of variety.
