If LME has already been boiled then it must be possible to brew with it by only boiling the hops, steeping any specialty grains and then mixing with the LME. This would reduce the amount of water to be boiled and make cooling to the correct yeast pitching temp easier.

just started a Bard's dry kit which i am led to believe is DME, the instructions say no boiling, just use warm water, 2 Gallons, is the DME in the kit different to the DME you get from a HBS
