Thinking of branching out...

i have been really interested in going forward and doing extract brewing. the main reason being to have more control over whats happening and also to get into all that boiling steeping and dry hopping!

i'm thinking of using brewers choice ipa as suggested in the link below
viewtopic.php?t=6676 as a guide but i was wondering on quantities. so far its 1.6kg lme but how much spraymalt? i think a trip to the brewshop and the hops and grains will be easy enough the packets they are sold in will be ok, just need to remember the muslim bags etc.

chopperswookie, I can certainly vouch for the Brewers Choice 'experience' being a suitably fulfilling and fragrant one :). Although I've not yet fully dived into the two I've tried, early impressions are excellent.

You could also try a similar thing using a standard kit and some speciality grains and hops (steep grains, steep/boil hops) . I did this with a Muntons kit, some crystal malt and First Gold hops. Even more satisfying IMO and dangerously tasty.
Next Up : Something for the summer
Primary : Nothing
Secondary / Conditioning : Nothing
Drinking : Mosaic IPA
