lager with liquid lme

Post by Haydnexport » Wed May 06, 2015 12:25 pm

Hi I'm slowly growing more confident with my brewing and would like to expand my knowledge and make better beer , or lager in this instance. I've done 3 lager kits that I've lagered for 8 weeks and they have been pretty good baring fermenting the first one too warm. I've ordered 3kg of liquid lme online , I was going for the Czech pilsner in the home brew book , then realised it specified dried one, do they work out the same weight wise or will I need more or less ? If anyone can point me in the direction of a Saaz supplier that's fairly cheap on 100g packets too? General advice will be warmly welcomed.

think its around 1.2 times more liquid than dried,so if the recipe says 1 kilo of dry you’d use 1.2kg of liquid.as for saaz worcster hop shop is doing em at £2.25 a 100g
