Never had one, let alone brewed one.

What’s the recipe? Is it based on a commercial example?

It has a nice light roastiness to it with medium body, medium carbonation and a thick head that laces nicely. And a nice light malty aroma, very lightly hopped.
I'm just here for the beer.

It wasn't based on anything in particular.
It was a very simple recipe. 3 pounds (1.35 kg) of Williams Baltic black lme in a 2 gallon (7.5 L) batch, 1.1 ounce (31g) saaz, 1 pack W34/70.
I'm just here for the beer.
