hi all , going to boil amber lme extract 1.5 kilo, one kilo demerara, 3 kilo white sugar, 1.5 kio golden syrup, it says with kviek yeast not to add to much hops as yeasts flavours are overpowered, so 50 gr perle, 50 grams ginseng ,50 grams guriana , 20 grams seeds paradise, 1 will dry hop 50 grams northern brewer hops, should be done 4 days and ready to guzzle but i will have patience and wait three days, i will put og and fg then cheers

That's a lot of sugar. Where did you get the recipe from?

Yeah agree, seems a hell of a lot of sugar. It will likely be thin and possibly have that twang which makes it more cider like? Good luck tho :)

Kveik lore will do that to you  Seriously, I recognise 3 main groups who promote it online. Those making money out of it. Those who belief (quite mistakenly) that Norway is - or ever was - at the forefront of anything noteworthy other than skiing, raping and pillaging. And those who genuinely haven't got a fecking clue either way. There is a fourth - a propagandist who blogs until his little flag's content. He's full of shit, of course, by any stretch of the imagination

You really don't like Norway, do you?! What keeps you there?

My kids mainly, Guy. Norway's a boring little crap hole full of flag-waving wankers. It always was and always will be. Go there, experience it, live it and try to tell me otherwise. The food's crap. The weather's crap. And the people are too cold to be human  That might explain most of their history then. It's not my responsibility. Far from it

i have not used kviek before, i found no clue as to how much yeast to use, so two grams, then i could not find out sugar content 1.5 kilo me, so i had to improvise, recipe looked at herbs spices and hops as my sons drink lager, so i thought to make a strong light coloured beer, kviek seemed best, sugars i guessed i have not yet added 3 lilos sugar white, can you advise what to add or not to , would like something about 8%, i can then leave in bottles as a surprise for them as to when they can visit, i am in the few who are in lockdown not allowed out ,no visits solitary confinement re the plague , i have only done three brews this is my forth, cheers and thanks for ny help

Adding malt extract instead of some of the sugar you were planning to use would be a good way to go. It'll add flavour and body to the finished beer.
