Ingredients for two gallons of bitter, O G was 1.034.

Final gravity is 1.0105.

4.48% ABV. Thats impressive. I can't quite read the name of the yeast

1034 minus 10105 = 23.5 divided by 7.36 = 3.192 ABV

Or just divide the OG by 10 as a ball park figure for the ABV.

That's not very accurate. It all depends on the final gravity. Milk stout is a good example.

Indeed, not very accurate at all. But for most beers it'll tell you if the more accurate calculation is in the right area.

Yesterday I dry hopped with .25 oz EKGs and .25 oz mittlefruh.
