Hi All :D
Have any of you any methods you might like to share as to how you squeeze the last drops of goodness from the grain bag?
Thanks

A pair of industrial rubber gloves and strong forearms :D
I buy from The Malt Miller

I hang my bag off a hook and allow it to drain by gravity for a while, then when nearly done, start slowly twisting the bag repeatedly which squeezes the grain.

Keep twisting the bag tighter until the flow slows right down. Don't overdo it or you'll risk breaking the bag though ;)

I squeeze mine into a spare FV using a combination of twisting and squashing the bag against the side of the FV, using my legs to keep it all stable. I used to use my hands to do the squashing, but now use a big spoon. It burns less.

Guys - think out of the box - sorry bag! two large pot lids do a good job! Also it is impossible not to bash them together lik cymbals just for fun! Those of you using a tea urn probably already have one large lid.

Doing a brew/walkthrough with my step-father last night post mashing i held it up and did the old 'twist' method, he watched for a second, wandered off and came back with a massive pair of scissor like BBQ Tongs - worked like a charm! - although definitely requires 2 relatively strong people and theres only one of those in my house usually (the girlfriend sometimes has trouble opening doors herself!) so sadly not repeatable i dont think.

Behold the Bribie Pressinator â„¢ A couple of spare shelves that came with my keg fridge and a 20L kitchen/laundry/baby bowl. Then a 20L cube full of water, or even bigger if you can find one. =D>
