I was doing a brew tonight and it over boiled and tripped out my electric!!!!
I've got an electrium boiler and was around 20 mins into a 60min boil when disaster struck.
Can I wait for my wort to cool down and reboil it tomorrow when the power source has dried out?

Not quite as exciting as tripping the electrics, but I have been interupted in the past by various dramas and started the boil again later. It's no biggy. The resultant beer was as good as any I have produced, so no negative effects.
I buy from The Malt Miller

15 mins next to the dry heat and I was ready to go again, plus there was only a 3 degree loss in heat

Re: Disaster!
that's not a disaster, that's a mild inconvenience.
Having a whole batch infected with acetobacter or turning to soap, that's a disaster. not that this has ever happened to me, oh no

My very same question led to a lot of discussion on the AG forum.djseaton wrote:I was doing a brew tonight and it over boiled and tripped out my electric!!!!

I had a similar issue. I had planned to mash overnight but then after 90 minutes started sparging. Unfortunately, it was midnight and by the time I had finished (maybe around half one), I was too tired to go on with the boil.I left it oernight in my Burco but with the heat on low.
The beer in question is still in my attic (warmest place in the house). I tried it after one week and it's a lovely beer. I can't wait to try it after 6. People do warn about various infections but there are a good few members here who have done similar things and claim to have brewed good beer. I can now count myself as one of them

Happy brewing
