BIAB.............BOOK ?

Post by poolking » Tue Nov 24, 2015 12:42 am

Been brewing kits 6/7 years now and last year after reading about the brew in a bag method I`ll finally dove head first into All grain brews, and haven`t looked back. It`s sooooo easy! and the beers are really tasty compared to kits. Just wondered if anyone has seen a book that`s been published on this method. I can`t seem to find one. I learned from here at jims and the usual ... Youtube. Plenty of books on brewing yes but BIAB? most people I speak to have never heard of it. Perhaps Graham could possible include it in any new editions of the Bible :) Would be so much easier than searching all over the place for this and that. Just a thought.

BIAB is essentially no sparge, full volume mash all grain brewing.

What are you looking to get from a book?
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

I was just thinking of new starters to BIAB. Took me a while to figure out exactly what equipment I needed to get set up, chill, no chill, bag, what size boiler, electric, Gas etc... I had only done kits prior so was a bit confused. I agree all the info is there, Youtube, Google, forums etc.... it does seem to becoming very popular now. I searched for a book and honestly could not find one. Would have been very helpful to me so I assume there`s space for a comprehensive book to help others.
