Taps for kegerator

Post by Manngold » Wed Jul 29, 2015 4:32 pm

Hi all,

In the middle of building my kegerator at the moment and have everything but taps that can be used with a Cornelius keg.

From looking around I know people seem to favour the Perlick type taps, these are out of my price range unfortunately. Can anyone recommend two decent plastic or chrome/metal taps that would work and that don't break the bank.

For example, would these work: http://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/index.ph ... ductId=634

Am I right in thinking that unless I have a flow control I will need more beer line?

Alternatively, if any member is selling please let me know. :)

Thanks

MG

Thanks for the response.

Something tells me I am not searching for the right things. Most I can see either don't have shanks and nipples, or have huge import postage costs. :s

You could search for Dalex taps, these are plastic and circa £20 but Aliexpress will get you close to "Perlicks" for similar money, just a little wait. :D

So, after a bit of deliberation, I decided I would rather mount taps to the top of the fridge and have a beer tower.

Can anyone see any problems with using this?

Thanks all.
