Beer line for Kegerator

Post by Mashman » Mon Aug 30, 2021 3:32 pm

Work on my kegerator continues. I have fitted the taps to the door and am wondering what beer line people use ? I have been using 3/8 beer line up till now in my recently defunct freezer. Is there something more flexible than the standard beer line or should I just use 3/16 line ?

Thanks

M

I switched to 3/16" OD tube years ago. Never considered changing back. 180 cm. Using the same for CO2.

If you know any Heineken delivery guys you could ask them to collect you the 6mm OD beer line with fittings on them to serve from the 20 liter steel corney type kegs they deliver to restaurants. They are used once and dumped. The line is 1.5 meters and you can buy john guest fittings 6mm pipe to 8 mm (5/16th) stem. cut the fittings off and you have a perfect flexible hard pipe that controls the flow. I have LOADS of them in my shed \:D/ and I used them for gas line too.
