Beer engine cleaner homemade

Hi,

So after lots of reading and the lack of being able to buy a good line cleaner in Norway I have decided to make use of my lab and make a line cleaner solution. I plan to use NaOh and Koh - stock i don't know yet - and wondered if anyone has made their own and if i can get away with theae chemicals in a beer engine? Most probably i will just use NaOh
