10 litre King keg? Anybody?

Post by aamcle » Thu Mar 27, 2025 10:43 pm

Evening All.

I'm about to use one for the first time, I'm Fermenting the beer a Fed Special and then intend to transfer to the keg to naturally condition with sugar, is there anything specific to these kegs I need to watch out for?

There is a silicone bung on the side of the neck (not shown sorry) what's it for? The PRV is mounted on the cap so it puzzles me.

Thanks aamcle

Does it have a dip tube or a float take-off.
Do make sure that the beer is fully fermented before transfer and do not add more than 2 grams per litre of dissolved sugar per litre. Otherwise all you will have is foam coming out of the tap. After conditioning release the pressure in the keg before connecting the tap.
