What to go for?
What to go for?
Hi all,
Im completely new to brewing, have just bought the Coopers Brewing Kit and have bottled the Australian Lager that came with the equipment.
Now I am ready to make my first order which will include Coopers Brewmaster IPA and one other kit (I am ordering 2 kits with ingredients to offset the postage cost to N.Ireland).
So with a Lager and an IPA can anyone recommend another kit that will be a bit different in style and taste so that I can have a good variety (I have been used to drinking the usual lager deals in the supermarkets and want to get used to a variety of tastes). I just recently tried a bottle of Bishops Finger and found it very tasty, but again I don't know much about English Ales. I am a big fan of Guiness but want to stay away from the stouts for the moment and try something different.
So all suggestions, preferrably easy enough kits as I am new to this game, would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Coppertone.

I made the Brupacks Fixby Gold from their 'Pride Of Yorkshire' range. It was recommended to me as a beginner for my first kit and turned out really well. I'd describe it as a proper Yorkshire bitter.
Also Daab has an excellent tutorial on his site for making up the Brupacks kits.

Hi Coppertone,Coppertone wrote:Thanks all for the tip. Looking at Daabs instructions it looks a bit more complicated than the single can kits but as this will probably be my third brew I might give it a go.
Cheers.
there's nothing complicated about it just a little organised chaos!

Go on give it a go...nothing ventured nothing gained or this case nothing learnt!
