My first rookie mistake

Post by ChrisG » Tue Mar 18, 2008 9:45 pm

Some of you may have been following a few of my posts regarding my first brews and I have made a rookie mistake.

It was noted by a few on the site that with the first batch of Scottish Heavy I should have filled the bottles fuller.

Seems the brew is a bit flat just now, but only been conditioning for just over one week so I hope it'll get a bit fizzier.

Even if it doesn't, it still tastes great! ;)

Suppose you live and learn.....IPA bottles were filled correctly. ;)

Ah well. As long as it tastes good after full conditioning, you'll know everything else was spot on for next time.

Flat ale can be nice anyway. But so is a half an half - why not hang on to some and make up a light ale to catch up with it and mix in the glass? Or a mild? Or a stout?

Turbo cider.

Here's a link to (the man the legend) Curious Brew's first - Link

It'll give you something to drink whilst you wait.

Your brew might gain a little more fizz over the next week.

You don't have to like TC - it's not something to be liked - it just fills the void between brews
