Storing beer in a keg

My first ever brew is in the keg! Question is, where to store it? I don't have anywhere that's significantly cooler that the temperatures that the beer was fermented it. I've put in a dark cupboard on an external wall of the house o should be a little cooler.

I just wondered what effect these warmer temps will have on the potential fiz in the beer?

Is there any way other than storing in the cold that will help the absorption of CO2? Will any be absorbed or will it all just sit at the top of the keg?
