Double Racking and Priming

Post by craigmtc » Tue Dec 16, 2008 10:08 am

Ihave brewed a Northumberland Brown Ale, which I racked off twice. Primed in thebucket bottled, which has been in a warm bedroom nowforaround 10 days.

I have tried a bottle which tasted godd didhave a fizz when I took the top off, but didn't seem to have much fizz.

Have I done something wrong, should I have added more yeast for priming, should I haveonly rack off once?

There wasn't a lot ofcrap left behind onsecond racking.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Grest, thanks Chris. The beer was very clear when bottled, so it could be lack of yeast like you say. I think I will leavein the warm for a little longer. Bottles have been in the warm for around 9 days, I think I will leave them until Saturday and they move to cold for conditioning.

Thanks
Craig
