diacetyl rest

Post by brysie » Fri May 01, 2009 5:06 pm

ive been reading up on this today and wondered if any of the experts on here can shed some light on the subject.

ive got a coopers lager and a coopers european on the go at the mo. both brewedwith beer enhancer. the european comes with a proper
top fermenting yeast [apparently]with the kit.
the lager, i used youngs lager yeast and has just started forming a crust today.
i have had them around 13 - 14 degrees and was wondering if i should bring them into the warm for a few days before bottling.
if so what sort of temperature would be best and how long should i leave them?

many thanks in advance :D

cheers chris. so it will achieve the same result even at the lower temperature?
thats the bit thats confusing me. so far my other brews have been great at 20 -22 degrees but as these are fermenting at lower temps, i was worried about
getting funny flavours by raising the temp too much.
