Think I may have ruined my first brew!

I siphoned off yesterday to a keg and some bottles (Tom Caxton real ale). Sucked the siphon to get it flowing and let the brew run into the keg which made a bit of froth as I initially didn't put the end of the siphon into the siphoned brew. Will I have contaminated it / added too much air? How can i tell when I sample it in a few weeks or will it be obvious? Just started a second batch of coopers draught just in case it is ruined, hopefully not [-o<

The chances of yeast infection are tiny, you would know by the taste straight away, but as mentioned I doubt you will have. It’s not good to give your beer to much air but again, you haven’t ruined your brew. The longer you leave it the better it will be. (I normally leave everything for at least 2 months to mature, but opinion is wide and varied on this, if your happy with 2 weeks go for it.)

As you thought any problems will be obvious from the taste.

Not really if you're honest, some people are just happy to drink immature bad beer it seems.
