Help Needed!! High Gravity problems
Help Needed!! High Gravity problems
Can anyone help me out? I have had my Muntons Santa's Winter Warmer in primary fermentation for 9 days now and am having issues with getting the gravity down. It is around 1.020 and the kit says it needs to be below 1.014 - any suggestions as to what may have gone wrong and how I can get it down at all? Could it have been a bit too cold in primary fermentation?

Hi,
it sounds like you may have a stuck fermentation. What temperture is it at? If the temperture is low try and increase this with either a heat belt/immersion heater or wrapping something around it.
If the temperture is ok then try giving it a gentle stir to try and get the yeast going. Failing all that then try adding more yeast and possibly some yeast nutrients.
