Going to the LHBS today with a work colleague who wants to start brewing. If they have this one I might "recommend" it to him as a first brew 8)

I feel drawn to it. I think i might have to buy it O_O

But seriously, since Wherry has ALREADY turned out better than my Fixby tastewise (and its not even done fully) im very tempted :)

I'm very impressed by the wherry.

I was thinking of giving this a go. Woodforde's Admiral's Reserve is rather drinkable, no, very drinkable :pink:

Bottled it last Saturday - will have a taste next weekend. I had a quick taste while I was bottling and it wasn't bad considering it was just out of the fermenter. Will let you know when I've tried it.

Tried a bottle last night - only been bottled 10 days so it's not quite there yet but seems very promising. It's quite a smooth taste and has none of the harshness you get with the cheaper kits, but still a bit on the yeasty side as it isn't really ready yet.

I purchased a WAR kit today from The Flagon and Cask in Bulwell Nottingham. :D
They have loads in stock but the WAR kits are not showing on their website. They said they would update their site today hopefully.

This will deffo be my local homebrew shop now aswell as Hamstead Brewing Centre.

Regards

Graham :)

PS I only went in for a wherry or Nelsons Revenge and ended up spending 30 quid! It's easy to get carried away

Had a few bottles of the Admiral's reserve last night and it's excellent - very smooth taste, slight sweetness with a touch of bitterness at the end. Would recommend. It's been bottled for about 2 and a half weeks now.
