hi people!at the moment i am brewing a geordie lager kit.by the end of the week the primary fermentation should be completed.for secondry fermentation and conditioning i will be racking the lager into two litre coke bottles.the thing i need to know is how much sugar will i need to put in each bottle.thanks in advance! :roll:

Reckon on about 1 level teaspoon per litre, so 2 teaspoons per bottle. if you like it very, very fizzy you could add an extra teaspoon per bottle. Store the bottles at room temperature for a few weeks to let the yeast turn the sugar into fizz.

thanks boingy! :D. also, when i add the sugar do i put the tops on then shake the bottle or not? :oops:

you can do if you wish. Normally when bottling, the flow of beer into the bottle mixes nicely with the sugar anyway.
