Finings and priming

Post by Bowser » Wed Feb 14, 2007 11:47 pm

I've got a John Bull masterclass wheat beer in primary at the moment, due to get racked to keg on friday (Daab's 10 day rule!).

Last kit I used beer brite with little or no effect, I've ordered some issinglass but won't be here till next week. I've got some gelatine sheets, how do you use this?, and howmuch to use? I guess you take off a pint or so and boil up with the gelatine?.

Regarding priming, I have glucose powder and munton's light spraymalt, which to use?.

I must say, I am MEGA excited about this kit, it's only my second kit, the first one got infected, good lesson learned though.

Thanks folks, off out on the nigh shift now! :(

Unless it's Kristallweizen it's supposed to be served cloudy

Agreed, good point, although I was in Berlin for a weekend just before christmas and a lot of the wheat beers we had there were clear.

Thanks folks.
