When talking quality kits Brupacs and Woodfords are usually 1st mentioned. Ive never used Sherwoods before are they up there and what is the general opinion on these kits.

I can't comment on the ale/beer kits but I have done their Orchard Cider kit and it was basically shit, another person on here (I think it was DRB) got the same results, it wasn't the cheapest either

Did a Sherwoods Forest Bitter and that turned out very good.It was a 3.6kg kit so had a bit more strength to it(shame there is only one bottle left!).Also the Sherwoods kits come with a pack of hop pellets to do what you want with(either boil them in some wort for more bitterness or as i did just stir into some boiled water with the priming sugar and then rack the beer onto that, leaves a good hop aroma but takes a long time to settle out,as the pellets turn to sludge and get mixed into the beer(i use a top float in the keg so its faster to clear)

Cheers for that OB.
Not too bothered about the top float jobby, I always leave a brew 3 weeks before tasting it. Problem is waiting 3 weeks I always need a continual supply to stop temptation.
