does this look infected i think its fit for drain cleaner my first go a ag been sat there about 12ish days fermented out about a week ago

Edgearsenal; Stick a sanitised tube in it and suck the end of the tube.

Let the fluid touch ye mouth.

Then ye'll know - Instantly :wink:

My reckoning is that it'll be brilliant. The sh!t showing on the surface can be very misleading as to what actually lies beneath.

i syphoned some off in to a glass had a little tase and it was sour tasteing so down the sink it went :cry:

you should of racked it off into some pet bottles and lost it in the back of the shed...you never know what age may have done..
didnt look like infection to me TBH - but it was odd..

:( Damb! That's a real bummer, mate. However, don't let that lead ye to slinging beer on sight in future. I've had brews come out looking similar to that, and yet they've been fine. Others have looked fine, yet Nico's put in an appearance .....

Don't be so quick to pour it away next time. I had a whole brew next to the drain, ready to bin it, then posted on here, and was told to bottle it and see. It turned out fine. It smelled of vinegar, so thought it was ruined, turned out, it wasn't. Keep brewing though, next one will be fine!

thanks guys nah hasnt put me off i brew ag after ditchnig that yesterday a choco vinilla stout or so i hope it will be.
