Help needed with next brew

Post by 50CAL » Fri Aug 12, 2011 1:11 am

Right guy's I have decided to have a go at making a coopers mexican cerveza for my 2nd brew while the other is still in the bottles.
Problem is I read these forums and being new to this home brewing lark its all a bit much as to what is best to put in I have read BKE (used that in the aussie larger) is good but then others say light spay and brewing sugar ect ect would really like to know what would you lot use if you where or have made this kit.

Thanks in advance.

I used 1kg of bke and 500 grams of brewing sugar to add strength. The taste is a bit subtle in the cerveza too, so short brew to 20L. It's a nice pint this tbh!

I fully endorse http://www.thethriftyshopper.co.uk/ / http://www.homebrewsupermarket.co.uk

They are the leaders in online homebrew shopping IMHO

Send you emails / txt about your order delivery, even call you to confirm repeat orders if you miss something out.
Matt has helped me out loads, and I cannot fault service or price.

10/10 for me

I assume you're talking about Coopers BKE?

BKE 1 : Recommended for use with your lighter style beers such as Lager, Draught and Pilsener.

BKE 2 : Great for use with any beer styles where a fuller, maltier flavour is preferred.

Just received my order from artofbrewing, they were prompt, sent me despatch notification and tracking info and most importantly were a good bit cheaper than anyone else I have looked at. Have only used them the once but had no issues.
