It's not easy to choose just one brew, but if I had to it would probably be a Milestone Black Pearl stout that was bottled and left for over a year before drinking.

Now the Black Pearl is a good brew that I've made up several times and I usually let it secondary ferment in a keg for 8-12 weeks before drinking it. However. on this occassion I didn't have a keg spare so I bottled all 40 pints and put them in the shed. I then stored some furniture and couldn't easily get to the Black Pearl until the furniture was moved over a year later. I'm not sure if it was ythe long storage or because it was bottled or a combination of both, but it was out of this world, smoother and more rounded and much, much better than the Black Pearl that I normally drink.

Coopers real ale is the best that i have made to date. Even lager drinkers that i know ( and what do they know about bitters?) said it was very good. I normally leave my beer for 6 weeks in the garage, but 8 weeks makes all the differents.
Cheers, Martin.
