Had some coopers euro in the fv 15 days now, ferment is well over and Id swapped to a second FV
Its super cloudy and tastes like hoegaaden - Im brewing for a mate who is leaving work next tuesday, shall I just bottle him up a 6 pack and say dont open for a couple of months?

you could add some finings now to the secondary FV & leave it a couple of days, then bottle it as normal over the weekend.
My experience with Coopers Euro lager is that it clears pretty quickly and starts to taste decent at about 6-7 weeks in the bottle, not the 12 weeks that the kit recommends.

Thanks john i'll add finings tonight and bottle up on sunday -
I poured some in to a clear bottle and capped it, the top 25% is clear now but reasonable sediment.

I've just brewed some Coopers Euro lager (haven't tried it yet!) but it was 15 days primary (at 16'C or so), syphoned to a secondary vessel (for mixing priming sugar) and then bottled (only slightly cloudy). After a weeks' conditioning, my single PET bottle (for monitoring purposes) is completely clear (half way through the second week now and I've put a couple in the fridge to try at the weekend or early next week). No finings used by the way.

Just curious why you have so much cloudiness (I also have sediment at the bottom of the bottles) and it's taking a while to settle. Did you brew at a significantly different temperature? Use the Coopers lager yeast (that comes with the kit)? I used a 1kg of light DME (and a cup full of brown sugar for good measure :) ) if it makes a difference.

Best,

Gary.

Initial week fermentation was at 18/20 deg. Then straight down to 16 deg.
Used the yeast that came with it and standard beer enhancer.
Tres confusing.

I haven't had hoegaaden, I had a sip about a decade ago, is it a bubblegum taste? If so, it might be because you fermented it a bit warm. It's a lager yeast supplied with the euro, and is supposed to be brewed at around 13-15 degrees.

I bulk primed mine at a rate of 7g per litre and it's just right for me.
FV:

Conditioning:
AG#41 - Vienna Lager - 5.6%
AG#42 - Heritage Double Ale - 10.5%

On Tap:
AG#44 - Harvest ESB - 5.4%
AG#45 - Amarillo Gold APA - 5.2%
