brewmaker IPA
brewmaker IPA
Hi all im brewing a brewmaker IPA with 500g spray malt/500g brewing sugar, its in to the 2nd day of fermenting and i was thinking of adding more sugar, is this a good idea or not? if so how much? i dont want to turn it to liquor, as you probally guessed im fairly new to brewing this is only my 2nd brew and don't want to cock it up.
Re: brewmaker IPA
with no reply i take it this probally aint a good idea, was thinking it might give it a bit of a kick, this is the first time ive tried a brewmaker, seems to be decent quailty ingredients has anyone else brewed a brewmaker IPA?
Re: brewmaker IPA
by adding more sugar will it not make it stronger? , i forgot to take a hydrometer reading so dont no what the finale abv will be but was hoping for about 7-8 %
Re: brewmaker IPA
If you try to add sugar to increase the ABV that much you will have dry horrible beer.
Re: brewmaker IPA
OK thanks for the heads up, me dont want dry horrible beer
so will leave alone as it is. I was just hoping to give it a few more %, all the IPA ive tried in the past have been quite stronge around 6-7 % thats how i like um. cheers rich
