Bought two kits this morning.Just put them on.A coopers dark ale and A coopers Draft. The draft was going for a tenner at the locall HB shop as it was a few days out of date.Should this be ok?

Should be absolutely fine, mate. Some salt, formed in the times of the dinosaurs, still gets sold with a sell by date on it

It kicked off after 6 hours. So obviously the yeast's viable. Not bad for a tenner.Im chucking in a bag of saazz hops.Near the end.Done it last time, turned out tasty!

What he said. The kit doesn't have a timer on it that makes it go bad on an arbitrary date set by the maker.
The best by date is probably because of some government regulation that has no connect with the real world.
I'm just here for the beer.
