homewrecker tweaks?

Post by stoofer74 » Tue Jan 01, 2013 10:57 am

Hi all i have a milestone ye olde homewrecker in my cupboard and was wondering if anyone has jazzed it up a bit? The name suggests that it should be nice and strong but it says that it is about 4.5%.so should I add between 500-1kg of sugar and get that abv up a bit?

It doesnt need Jazzing up, its a superb pint as it is. I would recommend just following the instructions, just the mention of it brings the flavours flooding back. Best kit I ever made. :)

I just think that it should live up to its name say 5.5-6%

it says on most online stores that it comes out at 6.5abv better to brew it short for more strength than add anything i did a milestone donner and blitzed kit and brewed it short to 36pints and ruined it by adding a bag of dried dark malt extract and it was heavy going to drink, best not mess with it [-X and enjoy it for what it is and just brew it 4 pints short of the fourty to get the higher abv

I also added too much sugar to this and it's really thick and not very nice.
