Evening chaps about to set a brew away and dry hop it with fuggles, I've heard it's a bit of a'grassy bastard' so wonder how much to use.
It's the vac packed hop not pellets.
I've heard 1-2 grams per litre but thinking only 1 if it's as strong as it sounds from reading the Internet
Any advice welcome
It's a coopers real ale I'll be hopping, 21 days with hops going in around day 14 for 7 days, does this sound ok
Cheers
First Time Fuggler
Re: First Time Fuggler
Dry hopping works well once the main bubbling has subsided.
Try racking into a clean vessel, somewhere about day 7 - 10. Warm about ½ litre water gently with 25g Fuggles (or whatever variety you choose), till nearly boiling. Then, add hop-tea to beer. Leave four about a week. Before you bottle/keg, rack via a suitable filter e.g. a tea strainer.

You could put some (1 gram per liter) in at day 10 and give it a taste at day 14 or 15, then add a bit more if needed.
I'm just here for the beer.
