Like they say. See if you can ignore it for a couple of days.

Fermenting beer is a lot like a fine lady at her tme of the month, make sure she's comfortable then stay the [censored] away.

Stop looking at it; you will embarrass the yeasties and they can't P alcohol if they think they are being watched...

Just put the lid down and let them eat and excrete in private :D

Not had the lid up fv is transparent (big word) it's one of the coopers diy it says remove krausen collar on the third day what would you guys suggest take it off or leave on , also how long should I leave the beer in the fv until bottling #-o :?:

Your call on the collar, but I can't see any advantage one way or the other. On the other hand the other question is much more important. The key here is to ignore the instructions and rely on your hydrometer. You want at least 3 readings over 72 hours to be the same before even thinking about it. Yeast will be dealing with the by products of fermentation you don't want, so this is an important time for the beer, even if it looks like nothing is happening.
