Anyone tried a similar mix?

I went to Wilko this morning and bought a couple of kits in the sale. When I got home I tried this combination as an experiment. Coopers original series Aussie lager mixed with One tin from a Wilko Golden ale (2 can kit) plus 250g of soft light brown sugar to help it attenuate and boost alcohol a little. Made to 21 litres and used 2 packs Coopers ale yeast. Has anyone else mixed a lager kit with an ale kit and if so with what results.
I'm left with one can from the golden ale kit which I'll use in combo with something else. At £12.75 Wilko 2 can kits are cheaper than buying 2 cans of light malt extract with the added advantage of being hopped.

No, but I would be interested to learn how this turns out. I was considering brewing my Geordie Winter Warmer up with my Wilko Pilsner.
