Mate enough bottles to bottle a kit will cost you £1.30, if you use 2 ltr PET bottles , from a supermarket. Tesco sprarkling water is only 12p a bottle.

Personally I'm finding a lot of variation with initial taste, my coopers stout tasted pretty good straight out of the FV, indeed I starting tucking into the keg within a week of it going in. The Woodfordes Nog on the other hand did have what could be described as a 'watery' taste when first kegged, I personally reckoned it tasted like that quarter of a glass leftover from the previous evening.
However it's been in the keg for a month now and is tasting a lot better (still cloudy though). Some beers just seem to need patience

I know of two brewing shops in Bradford, I use the one in Shipley (Fireside brews), partly due to location but also because they guys that run it are pretty decent blokes.

Good luck with it =D> You do realise that you will be the resident expert on that particular brew now. :D

where did you go? We're not well served here with first class homebrew shops catering to beginners unfortunately. I tend to alternate between Things To Brew near Brighouse and that little place in Shipley which is half cake decorating gear but run by a friendly old chap who may be able to give you some advice, if you want it. Its on Commercial St, just before the lights at the end of Victoria St.

when I started brewing last year, having got the basic equipment from Wilkos and online. I thought it was time to support my local HBS, I called in to the Shipley store and enquired about some brewing sugar to bottle the xmas Diablo, which was my third kit, thinking it would be better than household. It was like a reverse scene from open all hours. No No No just use sugar, but I said I would like to experiment and if I have some in the cupboard it will be used in a future brew, no no no just use sugar, in the end instead of trying to sell me a kilo, which I would have happily paid for, he weighed out 100g in the back and asked me for the princely sum of 37p, a Norah Batty lookalike who was buying some icing type things commented "oh dear thats why he will never make money, are these 50p". Been back since and bought some kits etc, but it has been a different guy . Funny and bizarre and the shop is in a time warp, will definately shop there again.
