Hi,

Its personal preference really.. I guess until you have tried it a few different ways and with varying amounts of priming sugar etc. you wont know what your preferences are...

I find with ales 5-7 days at 18-20C is fine, as long as the beer gets another 2 weeks (at least) in a cooler spot (so that CO2 gets into the beer itself) then its spot on...
I've just moved the IPA I bottled on Monday to the understairs cupboard, whre its nice and dark and stays at 13-15C all year round :)

This brew should then be ready come Mayday weekend, although as its a hoppy one will continue to develop with time!
But I like this style with fresh hoppyness, like the American IPA's...

Funny, just noticed this thread. Made this beer on 19th and made a hop tea with goldings and added to it. Also, with 500g light DME and 520g brewing sugar...

Currently fermenting at 18'c... Looking forward to this, as it's looking really good. Got my Better Brew in another FV, so two nice sounding brew shaping :)
