Popped into the Salford Homebrew shop for a little bottler yesterday. Seems well stocked - the owner was helpful and said if I needed anything he didn't have he would order it for me. Lots of AG stuff and kits etc.

Mind the step on the way in - its a killer.

Salford Homebrew - 96 Fitzwarren St M6 5RS. 0161 745 9488.

Living in oldham i have 3 choices of LHBS. homebrewkits on oldham road, middleton there a bit pricey and small, but usually has what you need.

Julies on Oldham road, newton heath.. probably the best LHBS in north manchester, with prices to match most of the big internet dealers and an EXCELLENT selection kits and ingredients!!

then tesco on huddersfield road, oldham.. VERY convenient as to go you dont need to make a special visit, although the stock can be a bit hit and miss (the regularly run out of BKE)

TBH i split my buying between them 3 and the thrifty shopper depending on what i need and how quickly i need it!!

cheers

I live in Bolton & use Salford Home Brew (Julies is his Wife) She is really clued up on brewing, & the "price" is rite.

Sounds like Oldham has a good %age of homebrewers on here! I grew in Oldham and have many fond memories, I even still follow the footy team.

Haven't been there for ages now, which is a shame, but when I do visit next, I'm definitely going in to try out one of these fine LHBS establishments. :D

Come on Oldham, Come on Oldham
