Wilko Hoppy Copper

Interesting to read monkhouse's comments. I made a batch of Hoppy Copper earlier this year (kit + 1kg dextrose, no other additions) and had very similar results.

I batch primed before bottling and some bottles have come out reasonably lively while others have come out flat and lifeless. Suspect the priming sugar didn't get mixed in properly.

I think most of my problems with this brew are down to me being a bit slapdash with it rather than a fault of the kit, but it isn't the most flavoursome brew I've made - don't think it really lives up to the "hoppy" part of its name.

But I'm drinking up the last few bottles now and it has improved a bit over time. Not sure if I'll do it again.

I've just put this on and it will be the second time I've done this kit.

It was, I think, the third kit I ever did and I didn't add anything, just the one can kit and it was fine for the price.

I'll always leave a kit in primary for two to three weeks now but i would've stuck to the instructions last time.

I think I'll look to dry hop this day 6 or 7 and bottle day 10 based on the comments in this thread.

I've unleashed my immersion heater too with there being a slight nip in the air between these mental warm evenings.
