It has got a fantastic hoppy aroma, that completely disguises that this brew started life as a stout kit.
I am also surprised by how much of the flavour is dominated by the hops! The intial flavour is really fruity (mild citrus), but I don't really get any pine flavour from the Simcoe that people either rave about or hate.
After the hop flavour mellows in your mouth, there is just a slight charred ash flavour from the stout kit, but this doesn't taste as odd as it may sound.
It does show you how we drink with our eyes as well as with smell and taste. The jet black appearance certainly plays with your mind with every mouthful![]()
To conclude, this brew drinks like a hoppy session pale ale as long as you keep your eyes closed!

I`ve told you and everybody on this site that kits are GREAT!

Yes, some of us do AG, BIAB, but when you come back to a good kit brew you must think `Bloody Hell Mun, this is Bloody Lovely Mun !

As Peatbogbrewer has come to realise`Gloop is Great`!
