Well it got down to 1010 and I bottled it last night into my motley collection of donated bottles. Started bottling at 10.30 and didn't finish til 1.30am - I need to try and get more efficient (especially when I have to be up at 6 for work the next day!)
I have now also had the mandatory spillage as I knocked over a jug of siphon run off. On carpet as well. Bum.
Had a sneaky taste and there doesn't seem to be any hints of infection so fingers crossed it turns out nice.
Milestone IPA
I cracked over the weekend and opened a bottle just over a week after bottling to 'check on its progress' and I really wish I hadn't bothered as it tasted quite odd indeed. I was rather half cut at the time after having sampled quite a few organic craft ipas/bitters from tatton park and my local organic supershop so I can't remember what it tasted like just that I couldn't bear more than a few sips.
I'm hoping this is more to its green-ness rather than the fluctuating temps it had to endure (15-22 degrees).
Anyway, got my aquarium heater now so next brew should be a breeze
