Yeah I'm also looking forward to seeing what the new wilkos kits are like as all their previous (and especially the two cans) have been really good.
Just kegged my last wilkos real ale kit so will have to restock the cupboard soon too!

Muslin bag can you not just use a white or cream pillowcase?
Will there ever be a store coming to Dundee or Aberdeen in near future?
Edinburgh is my nearest but couple hrs away for me
What about some free samples

Hi Nurse Betty
We have more store openings in late summer onwards scheduled but not confirmed where they are at presently
"free samples"? sorry but I am lucky to get any myself lol !
I did get to try a couple of bottles of the new brews we plan for Sept launch and they were quite good and currently having a few "tweaks" done to improve further based on a number of peoples feedback -----
watch this space for official launch date in store and on line
have you tried our on line site to get what you need?

Not tried these, way too expensive!

Maybe I`ll catch them in your next sale or when they are out of date.
Who the Hell priced them so high?

Re: Hello from Wilko's .....the return
i did the brown which was surprisingly good, the golden ale which was ok, needed more punch.
i'd like a bigger range. maybe the brewform kits as they are great, more of american ipa from youngs and other craft american ales. the coopers stout is great so maybe some different stouts and porters.
wilko's is good, but needs a bigger area - chelmsford store - to house more kits, ingredients and equipment. and really sell it and advertise it more.

Re: Hello from Wilko's .....the return
Any idea what is the yeast in the wilkos kits?
Specifically what is the yeast in the wilkos stout?
I have brewed a tweaked version of the stout. It had an OG of 1052 and has either finished not stalled at 1022. Tastes ok at that gravity.
Is this just very low attenuation? 60-65%?
