Is it just my eyes or are those bottles only half full? Also, did you give the FV a bit of a stir to move some yeast into the beer as DaaB suggested - without this you may not get any carbonation.

Good pics btw

I didnt fill them too much and yes I did stir the bin, it was a lot more cloudy.

You should really fill them to about an inch from the top.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news and all that.

ahh well you live and learn, it'll still taste good and should carbonate well. So i'm not worried.

Very impressive raft of bottles.

I'd be interested to know how the carbonation works with that 'headroom'.

Bet you smiled to yourself once you finished that little lot.

After 5 days in the warmth I moved the bottles out to the dark garage.

Gave in......and tried one of the smallest 500ml bottles and was it good? hell yeah!!! Gave off a nice fizzing sound when I opened the bottle.

Really pleasant taste and a classic Scottish Heavy flavour.

Down points only very minor, could do with a bit more fizz, not too much more and left a bit longer as it wasn't fully clear.

Overall, I'm well chuffed at my first brew! Excellent!!!
