As a kit brewer I was always impressed with the Brupaks range. Woodeford's too.
But I like to tinker and the moment you deviate from the instructions and add dried malt extract or some late hops or steep some other grains, you become in effect an extract brewer. I found this gives me alot of freedom to experiment. You can then use cheaper one can kits as a base and try different brews costing about £15 for 5 gallons.
